KnuckleBuddy is an online retailer that sells a unique wrench extender tool designed to help add torque and leverage to most wrenches.
KnuckleBuddy needed to improve their search rankings and visibility in order to compete with their primary competition. KnuckleBuddy was doing well with traffic from paid ads on Facebook, but wanted to experiment with other forms of marketing that were more targeted and could give them a better ROI. Ultimately, our goal for KnuckleBuddy was to increase revenue with improved search rankings and organic traffic. Here’s how we did it in just 30 days.
After our initial market research, we found that their primary competitors were each ranking under different keywords. So our strategy was to go after all of them. We optimized every page on their website by creating new content around the targeted keyword themes, and monitored them on a weekly basis to account for changes in Google’s algorithm. We also worked to improve the website’s technical SEO elements such as site speed, canonical tags, hreflang, and schema markup.
As a result of our efforts, we boosted overall monthly organic traffic by 22% and improved KnuckleBuddy’s overall website performance. We also improved the ecommerce conversion rate from organic search traffic from 2.08% as of May 15 to 5.11% on June 15, and revenue increased a total of 66.58% from May 15 to June 15.
Our solution also boosted their SERP rankings from the 70s to the top 10 search results on page 1 of Google in 5 different keyword phrases. In just 30 days we increased their keyword rankings by 1,010 positions.
