Local startup Scorestik has been chosen to be one of eight Albuquerque based companies to pitch at the Rise of the Rest Startup Tour on October 6, 2016. The tour, which includes 5 cities spanning from the midwest to southwest, will allow tech innovators around the nation to showcase their companies in an effort to display that entrepreneurship and innovation don’t just come out of Silicon Valley. It’s the idea that innovation and high-growth companies can start and scale anywhere, not just on the coasts.
“The rest is rising,” says competition founder, Steve Case. As CEO of the investment firm Revolution and co-founder of AOL, Case will personally invest $100,000 into winning company.
ScoreStik is a score keeping software that allows any screen to be turned into a score board. This new technology is currently being utilized in elementary and middle schools across the state, allowing organizations to minimize the cost and maintenance associated with managing current score board technology. Using just a regular flat-screen TV as the board, Scorestik can be operated from any iPad, laptop, or even phone.
