Over the last month, Eric and I have been working on a redesign of ABQ-Live.com, for the local magazine ABQ-Live. Last week, we put in long hours with the ABQ-Live team to launch the new site. Not only did we get to know some great local guys over at the magazine, but we had an opportunity to really test our WordPress skills by pushing a Genesis child theme farther than we ever have before and adding lots of new functionality to the site that wasn’t already baked in.
We launched the site on Friday the 23rd at 8:30 pm, at a Launch Party over at Posh Nightclub. ABQ-Live has an annual model search, where local models compete to become part of their model team as well as be on the cover of the magazine. The competition consists of voting and an interview process, with the top 3 finishers getting a cover shoot. We launched the site live at 8:30pm and the model search voting began! It was a great party and a great experience for a great website!
