The University of New Mexico Center for Participatory Research (CPR) has been conducting an ongoing Engage for Equity (E2) initiative. The study uses a collaborative approach to research with the aim of combining knowledge and action for social change. By 2016 they were ready to take their work to the next level.
They needed an interactive website for the initiative that would be accessible to users with varying levels of technical ability. The primary function of the website was to demonstrate CPR’s Community Based Partnership Research model (CBPR) and the many research based tools associated with it. We achieved this by featuring interactive infographics, downloadable content, videos, surveys, and a communication forum.
We then began working with the client to plug in their content in a sensible way. The message component was paramount to this site since it needed to accurately educate visitors on the CBPR model. We have built out a series of “flows” through each tool that allow visitors to discover how all the pieces fit together.
